Discussion Atmosphere (doc. ICT)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jakarta \u2013 The Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dharmono, along with the Information Communication and Technology (ICT) team of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM), conducted a collaborative visit and benchmarking activity at the Directorate of Information Systems (DSI) of Universitas Terbuka (UT) on September 5, 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The activity took place in the Brahma Room, Prof. Setiaji Building, UT Central, South Tangerang. The delegation was welcomed by the Director of the DSI UT, Muhammad Rif\u2019an, who is also a faculty member at the School of Science and Technology UT, along with other DSI UT staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After opening remarks from both parties, a Cooperation Agreement was signed between FKIP ULM, represented by Dharmono, and UT, represented by Muhammad Rif\u2019an. The benchmarking session was then conducted, led by the Head of Administration Subdivision of DSI, Muhammad Novan Billiranto. Presentations during the session were delivered by the DSI team, including the Head of System Security and Audit Division, Agung Wicaksono, and his Assistant Manager, Iswaya Maalik Syahrani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to ICT Chair, Nuruddin Wiranda, the activity was necessary for FKIP ULM ICT to study information technology governance, network management, and the handling of learning media as a reference for future implementation at FKIP ULM. \u201cEspecially with the new program in the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) for certain teachers, where students will be required to participate in asynchronous online lectures similar to UT\u2019s Learning Management System (LMS), learning these management practices from another institution becomes more urgent,\u201d added ICT Secretary, Muhammad Sa\u2019addudien Khair.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other ICT staff, Ponco Sisworo and Muhammad Naufal Yaasir, noted that discussions revealed that effective IT governance, infrastructure management, and learning media operation can only succeed with proper coordination between the ICT unit and other dependent units. Additionally, best practices from DSI UT, such as the Network Operation Center (NOC), Data Center, and Disaster Recovery Center (DRC), can serve as a valuable reference for FKIP ULM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To address issues like external cyberattacks, a single-point security commitment through the ICT team is required, ensuring that any technological development by other units must be controlled and monitored by ICT. This not only ensures security but also facilitates easier adaptation of technology for other unit developments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All technology-related operations at DSI UT, covering both hardware and software, follow ISO 27001 standards, ensuring that planning, procurement, and implementation are all audit-ready. Network devices at DSI UT are strictly controlled and organized according to ISO 27001 standards. Backup power is provided not only from PLN electricity but also from dedicated backup sources for network devices to ensure uninterrupted service for all DSI UT users.<\/p>\n\n\n
