What is Teaching Assistance?

Teaching Assistance is one of the flagship programs within the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) scheme, which aims to provide hands-on experience for ULM Faculty of Teacher Training and Education students to contribute to the learning process at school.

Through this program, students serve as teaching assistants, honing their pedagogical, communication, and classroom management skills in a hands-on environment within elementary and secondary schools.

Program Objectives

  • Providing students with on-the-job teaching experience.
  • Improving the professional skills of prospective educators.
  • Assisting educators in the learning process.
  • Cultivating students’ social awareness and real contributions to the world of education.


Placement Location

Students are placed in various partner schools in the South Kalimantan region, including:

  • Kindergarten/Preschool

  • Elementary School (SD)

  • Junior High School (SMP)

  • Vocational High School (SMA/SMK)
