FETT ULM Intensifies Preparation of 9 PS for International Accreditation

Banjarmasin – The leadership of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FETT) of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) together with the ULM Institute for Quality Assurance and Learning Development (LPMPP) began to intensify the assistance of 9 Study Programs (PS) in the FETT ULM environment which would originally follow the international accreditation process through the ACQUIN accreditation agency based in Germany. the 9 PS that are included in one social humanities family are PS Sociology Education, PS Economics Education, PS Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKN), PS History Education, PS Geography Education, PS Social Science Education (IPS), PS Indonesian Language and Literature Education (PBSI), PS English Education, PS Performing Arts Education (PSP).

On May 27, the 9 PS international accreditation task force team was invited to attend the Technical Guidance (Bimtek) for ACQUIN accreditation preparation organized by LPMPP ULM via zoom conference starting at 09.00 WITA. This guidance presented Hendy Santoso from Bengkulu University. In his presentation, Hendy reminded the PS that to be able to carry out international accreditation, the requirements that must be possessed are (1) a strong commitment from the leadership and academic community at all levels, (2) implementing the Outcome Based Education (OBE) curriculum, (3) running an Internal Quality Assurance System (SPMI), and (4) having undergone national accreditation. Related to this technical guidance, the head of the Quality Assurance Unit (UPM) FKIP ULM, Ananda Setiawan hopes that all PSs that follow can take important information from the speakers and can implement it in their respective PSs in preparation for the international accreditation process.

Meanwhile, on May 29, the PS Coordinators (Korprodi) from 9 PS attended the international accreditation preparation meeting. The meeting was chaired by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty and the Vice Dean for General and Financial Affairs, Dharmono. According to Deasy, in this meeting, the faculty asked the PS to immediately finalize the OBE curriculum and asked them to present it the following week. “In addition to the curriculum, PS was also asked to prepare a Budget Plan (RAB) related to the needs in preparation for this international accreditation and was also asked to present it,” she said.
