AL Chemistry Education Accreditation, Assessors Praise UPPS Commitment to Lecturer & Staff Continuing Studies

Banjarmasin – Monday and Tuesday, January 29-30, 2024, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) again received accreditation assessors from the Education Self Accreditation Institute (Lamdik) who conducted a Field Assessment (AL) in the Chemistry Education Study Program (PS). The arrival of two assessors who are also professors at two universities, namely Ratnaningsih Eko Sardjono from the University of Education Indonesia, and Muktiningsih Nurjayadi from the State University of Jakarta. The assessors were welcomed directly by the Rector of ULM, Ahmad Aliem Bahri and the leadership of FKIP ULM, namely the Dean of FKIP ULM, Sunarno Basuki; Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Ariansty; Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, Ali Rahman.

Also attending the event were ULM’s Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Iwan Aflanie; Head of ULM’s Institute for Quality Assurance and Learning Development (LPMPP), Agung Nugroho; Head of the General Section of FKIP ULM, Ani Isdiati Basri; Head of the Quality Assurance Unit (UPM) FKIP ULM, Ananda Setiawan and the UPM team, Saiyidah Mahtari, Nurul Hidayati Utami, Meliyana Aini, Muhammad Muhaimin, Sauqinah, Tika Puspita Widya Rini, and Imelda Indah Savitri; Heads of Subdivisions: Ida Auliani, Isnawati, and Akmil Fuadi Rahman; Head of Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Unit of FKIP ULM, Nuruddin Wiranda; Coordinator of Chemistry Education Study Program, Rusmansyah and lecturers in Chemistry Education.

The series of agendas in this AL activity are UPPS (Study Program Management Unit) assessments, namely faculty as well as PS assessments, stake-holder and alumni interviews, interviews of lecturers and students in the Chemistry Education Study Program, assessment of educational staff (tendik), visitation of infrastructure facilities, micro-learning assessments, signing of minutes, and evaluation of activities by assessors.

In the closing session, the assessors conveyed a number of recommendations for the future development of the Chemistry Education Study Program, including optimizing cooperation in the field of tridarma, including student exchanges, strengthening effective learning based on Outcome Based Education (OBE), encouraging students to continue to compete at the national level both from academic and non-academic aspects, increasing the strengthening of tendik competence in national level training. Meanwhile, the assessors also gave appreciation to the achievements of UPPS and PS related to infrastructure facilities, governance which is considered consistent and has information technology-based planning, as well as a high commitment from the faculty leadership to the educational development of FKIP ULM lecturers and staff, especially for those who study further.

The activity was closed by the Dean of FKIP ULM, Sunarno Basuki, who expressed his great hope that the PS of Chemical Education could be accredited superior so that the development of the PS in the future could be carried out more optimally. Hopefully PS Chemical Education will get the best accreditation assessment as expected. (admin)
