Banjarmasin – Tuesday, April 23, 2024, the Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Universitas Lambung Mangkurat (ULM), Sunarno Basuki, accompanied by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty and the Quality Assurance Unit (UPM) team held a meeting with the managers and lecturers of the English Education Study Program (PS) regarding preparations for the reaccreditation of PS English Education. Also present in this activity, the Head of UPM, Ananda Setiawan and his team, Nurul Hidayah Utami and Imelda Indah Savitri; Coordinator of English Education Study Program, Mohammad Yamin; Professors in English Education Study Program, Fatchul Muin and Abdul Muth’im; and a number of lecturers including Cayandrawati, Sirajuddin Kamal, Rina Listia, Jumariati, Noor Eka Chandra, Elvina Arapah, Novita Triana, Emma Rosana Febriyanti, Raisa Fadilla, Fahmi Hidayat, Eka Putri Elyani, Elsa Rosalina, and Inayati Fitriyah Asrimawati.

English Education Study Program will carry out reaccreditation in 2025. Of the series of S-1 PS in FETT ULM that carry out reaccreditation through the Education Self-Accreditation Institution (Lamdik), English Education PS is the last PS to carry it out because it has received an extension of its A accreditation status from the National Accreditation Board for Higher Education (BANPT) which previously became the PS accreditation agency at FETT ULM. Furthermore, PS English Education will follow the reaccreditation through Lamdik like other PS.

According to the Dean of FKIP ULM, Sunarno Basuki, in accordance with the direction of the ULM Chancellor, the PS of English Education is expected to immediately prepare itself and as far as possible be able to carry out accreditation in the hope of following the superior status of other PS. Added by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty, the leadership has identified the opportunity for the PS of English Education to excel considering the PS conditions are more or less the same as other PSs that have succeeded in getting the superior title. “From the faculty through UPM, assistance will be carried out intensively, including assistance for funding.” Meanwhile, the Coordinator of English Education Study Program hopes that everything can run smoothly and get results according to the expectations of all academicians and leaders.
