Banjarmasin – The Subdivision of Student Affairs and Alumni of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held a Student Leadership and Management Training (LKMM) for student organizations (ormawa) within FKIP ULM which included the Student Executive Board (BEM), Student Council (Dema), Student Activity Unit (UKM) at the faculty level, and Student Association (Hima) at the Study Program (PS) level. This activity was held for two days, Monday-Tuesday, May 13-14, 2024 in Room 26 FKIP starting at 08.30 WITA. The event was opened by the Dean of FETT ULM, Sunarno Basuki, and attended by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty; Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, Ali Rachman; Head of Subdivision (Kasubag) Student Affairs and Alumni, Rabiatul Adawiyah; Academic Subdivision Head, Akmil Fuadi Rahman; Head of Finance and Personnel, Ida Auliani; Head of General and BMN Subdivision, Isnawati, and representatives of ormawa as participants. In his remarks, the Dean expressed his appreciation for the organization of this activity in order to support the achievement of IKU. He also hopes that in the future FKIP ULM’s infrastructure can increasingly support student activities.

For two days, participants received a number of organizational managerial and leadership materials, including material (1) controlling motivation by Deasy Arisanty, (2) administration by Dharmono, (3) elaboration of work plans and committees by Ali Rachman, (4) Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (PPKS) in Higher Education by the Head of General Affairs, Ani Isdiati Basri, (5) History, Vision and Mission of FKIP ULM and Accreditation Status of Study Programs (PS) by Ida Auliani, (6) Balance of academics, organizations, and soft skills by Akmil Fuadi Rahman, (7) introduction to faculty facilities and licensing procedures by Isnawati, (8) introduction to organizations, institutions, and faculty communities by Rabiatul Adawiyah, (8) socialization of the use of e-office by the Head of the Information Communication & Technology (ICT) Unit, Nuruddin Wiranda, (9) application of state defense attitudes and behavior by PS PGSD lecturer, Yogi Prihandoko, (10) organizational financial management and accountability by the Assistant Expenditure Treasurer (BPP), Indra Nur Adhitya, (11) introduction to the Student Activity Credit System (SKKM) and Certificate of Diploma Companion (SKPI) by student affairs subdivision staff, Abdi Noor Rahmatillah, (12) Introduction to Simkatmawa (Student Ranking Management Information System) by student affairs subdivision staff, Fakhrul Rozy, and (13) Appreciation of Outstanding students by student affairs and Alumni subdivision staff, Aulia Rahman.

In her presentation on Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (PPKS) in Higher Education, one of the speakers, Ani Isdiati Basri, conveyed the importance of awareness of the campus community, especially students related to sexual violence. According to her, ULM already has a task force for handling this problem and can be contacted if at any time violence occurs, so that victims can immediately report and be handled immediately.

Meanwhile, one of the participants, Aufa Nabillah, who is the secretary of UKM FKIP Mengajar, said that he found this activity very useful. “We become more aware of the bureaucracy in our faculty, about campus facilities, parts of the faculty and the person in charge of each organization. As the general secretary, I also feel helped because of the discussion of correspondence that applies in FETT now. At the end of the session there were also games between organizations, so that interaction was established and maybe it could be held again later so that the relationship between organizations was even closer, “he said.
