Jambi – Passing the finalist selection of the National Student Quran Tilawatil Musabaqoh (MTQMN) Communication Forum (Forkom) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) throughout Indonesia which was held online on October 07-09, a number of FKIP students from Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) attended the final of the championship at Jambi State University on October 07-11. Fourteen students who departed were accompanied by the Deputy Dean of FETT ULM for Student Affairs and Alumni, Ali Rachman and Field Supervisor (DPL) who was also the lecturer of the Islamic Religion course, Noor Ainah.
The student team won in a number of competitions, including, 1st place in the men’s English debate competition on behalf of Muhammad Tahmidillah from the Pancasila and Citizenship Education Study Program (PPKn) and Ahmad Syaifuddin Arizky from the English Education Study Program; 2nd place in the women’s English debate competition on behalf of Fahdina Qanitah and Gita Nindi Astuti from the English Education Study Program;
Other champions were the 3rd winner of the maulid barzanzi competition on behalf of Muhammad Hafidzul Munzir, Muhammad Ihsan, and Muhammad Abdul Karim Amrullah, Muhammad Hidayat, and Wildan Tamami from PS Educational Technology (Tekpen); 3rd place in the syarhil Quran competition on behalf of Ahmad Maulidi from the Early Childhood Education Teacher Education Study Program (PG PAUD), Muhammad Naufal Farisi from the Tekpen Study Program, and Nanda Khairul Mawaly from the Elementary School Teacher Education Study Program (PGSD); 3rd place in the 5 juz female hifdzil Quran competition on behalf of Anida Zulfa from the Tekpen Study Program; and 3rd place in the men’s Quran tilawatil on behalf of Zidan AL Fiqri from the Guidance and Counseling Study Program.
With this victory, FETT ULM won the second overall champion title after Jambi State University, beating 23 other universities from all over Indonesia. Regarding this victory, Dean of FETT ULM, Sunarno Basuki expressed his appreciation. According to him, this student achievement is the result of consistent training plus the religious environment of South Kalimantan which supports students to maintain this consistency. “I am grateful, the increase in student achievement also shows the good performance of educational institutions,” he said.
Meanwhile, one of the winning students, Muhammad Tahmidillah, expressed his excitement over this achievement, “Hopefully this success will be the first step to continue to improve achievements in the next event, and become an inspiration for other fellow students to contribute in bringing the good name of the university. With hard work and continuous guidance, we are optimistic that we can achieve more brilliant achievements in the future,” he said. (admin)
