Banjarmasin – The Information Communication Technology (ICT) Unit of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) has just launched an innovative application called PANTAU (Knowledge Board). This application can be accessed through a television monitor installed in the lobby of the Utility Building of FKIP ULM, offering a practical solution to access important information directly. With the launch of PANTAU, ICT FKIP ULM shows its commitment to utilize technology to improve the quality of information services for students and staff. This innovation also reflects the faculty’s seriousness in utilizing modern technology to support more transparent and efficient academic and non-academic activities.

PANTAU is equipped with three main features that provide easy access to information. First, the information feature on the attendance status of leaders, which allows the academic community to quickly find out the attendance of faculty leaders. Second, information related to FKIP activities, which provides updates on events, seminars, and other activities taking place in the faculty. Third, the room usage status information feature that provides details about the room booking, including who booked it, for what activity, and on what date. With these features, users not only get the information they need but can also plan their activities better.

According to the Head of ICT, Nuruddin Wiranda, this application is a strategic step to strengthen the information system within the faculty. By utilizing existing information technology, PANTAU is expected to improve communication and coordination between faculty members. This is in line with FKIP ULM’s vision to become a modern faculty that is responsive to the needs of students and staff. The implementation of this application is expected to not only facilitate access to information, but also encourage a more collaborative and innovative work culture among the entire academic community.

Innovations such as PANTAU are clear examples of how technology can be integrated into the education service system. Thus, FETT ULM is not only keeping up with technological developments, but also playing an active role in creating a better academic environment. PANTAU is a significant first step in delivering more integrated and responsive information services, which in turn can improve the learning and teaching experience at the faculty. It is hoped that this application can continue to grow and adapt to the needs of the academic community, so that it becomes an increasingly useful tool in the future.
