Banjarmasin: Indonesian Language and Literature Education Study Program (PS PBSI) Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held a workshop on Outcome Based Education (OBE) curriculum development. This activity was held at the Pyramid Hotel, Banjarmasin, on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, starting at 09.00-16.00 WITA. This workshop was attended by lecturers from PS PBSI and invited lecturers from PS PBSI at other tertiary institutions in Banjarmasin. The instructor for this workshop is Arif Sholahuddin from LP3 (Learning Development and Enhancement Institute) ULM. This activity was opened by the Dean of FKIP ULM, Chairil Faif Pasani. In his remarks, he hoped that PS PBSI would be able to develop the OBE curriculum properly so that a curriculum set was formed that supports learning by the demands of today’s times. Meanwhile, PS PBSI Coordinator, Sabhan, hopes that the curriculum already owned by PS PBSI can be elaborated properly in future curriculum development.
In the material presentation session, Arif explained that the essential thing in the OBE curriculum is achieving Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPL) or Learning Outcomes (LO) measurable correctly and clearly. Therefore, according to him, the formulated CPL must be concise and become the target of achievement to be achieved by PS. The brevity and focus of the CPL also support the measurability of the accomplishment of the CPL. After delivering the material, the activities continued with curriculum evaluation meetings and study of subjects, including a review of implementing the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program in the curriculum.
