Innovative Learning Media Training in Chemistry Education FKIP ULM: A Step Forward in the Digital Era

Banjarmasin – The Chemistry Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) once again showed its commitment in facing the digital era by holding an Innovative Learning Media Training. The event was officially opened by the Head of the Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences Education (JPMIPA) FKIP ULM, Syahmani, who conveyed the importance of innovation in education.

The training, which was held on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 09.00-13.00 WITA in the Smart Class Room, aims to improve the ability of lecturers and students of the Chemistry Education Study Program to develop innovative learning media, in accordance with the development of science and technology. A total of 43 participants, consisting of lecturers and students, enthusiastically participated in this activity.

This activity presented Arie Mursandi from the South Kalimantan Education Information and Communication Technology Center (BTIKP) as the main speaker. With extensive experience in developing innovative learning media, Arie Mursandi delivered various interesting materials, such as making innovative learning video media, applying Augmented Reality in learning, and developing Interactive Learning Media.

Rusmansyah, Coordinator of the Chemistry Education Study Program, also expressed his views on this training. “This activity not only opens the insight of lecturers and students in developing innovative learning media, but also teaches them to always keep up with the times. We hope that with this training, the quality of learning in the Chemistry Education Study Program at FKIP ULM can continue to be improved, along with rapid technological advances.”

This training is expected to be the first step for FETT ULM’s Chemistry Education lecturers and students to continue to innovate and create interesting and effective learning media, so as to improve the quality of education in this digital era. Thus, FETT ULM continues to strive to prepare the next generation who are not only knowledgeable but also skilled in utilizing the latest technology.
