BANJARMASIN – Students of the Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) Study Program (PS), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) class of 2023 held Smart Citizen, Quiz on Citizenship Education as part of the project-based learning assignment for Citizenship Science Course, Saturday, May 25, 2024. The event was opened by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, Ali Rachman. The event, which was held in the PS PPKn laboratory, was attended by students from 29 high school / MA level schools throughout South Kalimantan.

According to the Coordinator of PS PPKn, Mariatul Kiptiah, this activity aims to increase students’ understanding and awareness of the values of Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, and various important aspects of citizenship. In her speech, Mariatul Kiptiah also mentioned that this activity can be a place for students to hone their critical thinking skills and as a provision to be able to manage a team. “This can be a provision for students in the future to be able to manage an organization and also the most important thing is to socialize PS PPKn itself,” she said.

Meanwhile, Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, Ali Rahman appreciated the implementation of this activity. He hopes that in the future this activity can continue, not only at the high school level but also at the student level. “This activity is very good, we also thank the supervising lecturer, Dian Agus Ruchliyadi for facilitating students as part of the course,” he said.

There were a number of winners in this quiz competition. They are the first winner of SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin (Team 2) (team leader, Muhammad Kamil Ridha) with team members Rasyidah, Nadhira Nur Azkia, Muhammad Yazid Zidane. Second place was SMA Negeri 10 Banjarmasin (Team 2) (team leader, Oktavianti) with team members Muhammad Rafi’i Ilham, Muhammad, Nadira Nur Afifah. 3rd place SMAN 4 Banjarmasin (Team 1) (responsible, Mawarti) with team members Diana Rizqy, Dzurotun Nafisa Azzahra, Erghy Febrian Azzahir.
