Banjarmasin – The leadership of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) received guests from a number of officials from Hulu Sungai Tengah Regency (HST) on Wednesday, June 5, 2024 in the senate meeting room. The guests were the Head of the Education Office, Anhar and his staff, Misran, Dimas, and Rudi; Head of the Personnel and Human Resources Development Agency, Wahyudi Rahmat; Head of the Regional Research and Development Agency, Muhiddin; and Assistant III for Administration and General Affairs of the Regency Government, Fajarudin.

They were welcomed by the Dean of FKIP ULM, Sunarno Basuki; Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty; Vice Dean for General and Financial Affairs, Dharmono; Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, Ali Rachman; Head of the Cooperation and Public Relations Management Unit (UPKH), Emma Rosana Febriyanti; Head of the Quality Assurance Unit (UPM), Ananda Setiawan; Head of Information Communication Technology (ICT), Nuruddin Wiranda; Secretary of ICT, Sa’aduddien Khair; Head of the Department of Physical Education, Sports and Health (JPOK), Perdinanto; Coordinator of the Physical Education Study Program (Korprodi), Rahmadi; Senate members as well as the RPL (Recognition of Past Learning) team, Hamsi Mansyur and Baseran; Head of General Affairs, Ani Isdiati Basri; and Heads of Subdivisions.

According to the Dean of FKIP ULM, Sunarno Basuki, the arrival of officials in the HST Regency Government aims to conduct intensive discussions regarding the request for the procurement of classes for S-1 Physical Education in HST. “They said that there is an urgent need for sports teachers who have very little interest even though many ASN formations have been opened to recruit. To overcome this, one of the solutions is the opening of PSDKU (Study Program Outside the Main Campus -ed). The HST Regency Government has written to the ULM Chancellor and the Chancellor asked FKIP to follow up on this, “he explained.

In this discussion, there was also a presentation on the profile and curriculum of the PE Study Program (PS) by Rahmadi, a presentation on PSDKU and RPL by Hamsi Mansyur and Baseran. The HST Regency Government itself hopes that this collaboration can be realized and hopes that the campus can indeed be opened in HST considering that the target of these prospective students is a farming community which is rather difficult to do mobility away from their agricultural environment.
