Banjarmasin – The Quality Assurance Unit (UPM) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) on Monday, October 14, 2024 held a Management Review Meeting (RTM) at Swissbell Hotel at 09.00-18.00 WITA. The meeting was opened by the Dean of FKIP ULM, Sunarno Basuki and attended by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty; Deputy Dean for General and Financial Affairs, Dharmono; Coordinators from 21 Study Programs (PS); and Heads of Units within FKIP ULM.
This meeting scheduled the presentation of PS and Units related to the results of the Follow-Up Plan from the results of the Internal Quality Audit (AMI) and the previous year’s Follow-Up Results report (HTL) conducted by the Institute for Quality Assurance and Learning Development (LPMPP) on PS and the results of internal monitoring and evaluation in the Unit. After presenting the AMI results, the PS Coordinator and Unit Head who presented then presented the RTL from the findings regarding things that need to be improved in the tridarma aspects (education, research, and service) audited in AMI. This series of presentations was then responded to by the leadership.
One of the study programs that presented the RTL was the Geography Education Study Program. In her presentation, the Coordinator of Geography Education, Karunia Puji Hastuti, said that her department will pay attention to lecturers who want to get patents by facilitating them to take part in training and will try to increase the acquisition of external funds for research and community service. Meanwhile, Head of the Cooperation and Public Relations Management Unit (UPKH), Emma Rosana Febriyanti, in 2025, UPKH will focus on cooperation plans with partners from the categories required by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemdikbudristek) such as foreign universities that are ranked QS200, international non-governmental organizations, and reputable cultural institutions.
Regarding the implementation of the RTM, the Head of UPM, Ananda Setiawan said that the RTM is an effort to control the quality that has been determined previously. Based on this RTM, PS and Units are expected to plan programs that are in accordance with efforts to increase achievements. According to him, building a culture of quality is not easy, but not impossible. Efforts to build a culture of quality cannot be done partially or only by a few people, but must come from all individuals, including the GPM (Quality Assurance Group -ed) PS. “Hopefully, GPM can always synergize with UPM to be able to implement the PPEPP cycle (Determination, Implementation, Evaluation (implementation), Control (implementation), and Improvement -ed) at the PS level because the implementation of the quality cycle in PS depends on the performance of GPM,” he said.
