FETT ULM & IAIN Palangkaraya Agree on Cooperation Agreement

Banjarmasin – Thursday, February 22, 2024, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) received guests from the State Institute of Islamic Religion (IAIN) Palangkaraya. They were Dakir, Dean of the Faculty of Tarbiyah and Teaching Sciences (FTIK); Jumrodah, Vice Dean 1 of FTIK; Marsiah, Vice Dean 2 of FTIK; and two staff members of FTIK IAIN Palangkaraya. The guests were welcomed by the leadership of FETT ULM, namely the Dean, Sunarno Basuki; Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty; Deputy Dean for General and Financial Affairs, Dharmono; Deputy Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, Ali Rahman; also welcomed by the Head of the Cooperation and Public Relations Management Unit (UPKH), Emma Rosana Febriyanti; Secretary for Cooperation, Dewi Dewantara; Secretary for Public Relations, Dewi Alfianti, and UPKH admin, Imelda Indah Savitri. The meeting was held in the Utility Building meeting room at 10:00-12:00 WITA.

The meeting was opened by the Dean’s remarks who conveyed a number of achievements that have been made by FKIP ULM in its role as an educational institution, including quality assurance qualifications that have achieved the best scores both internally in the Internal Quality Audit (AMI) which has almost achieved a perfect record, and externally through accreditation assessments at the Education Self Accreditation agency (Lamdik) which has so far achieved satisfactory results. He also emphasized the importance of preparation in facing future challenges, both related to the speed of world change due to technology, as well as increasingly open access to information.

In this meeting, both parties agreed on a number of cooperation agreements followed by implementation plans for tridarma activities for Study Programs (PS) that are equally owned by both parties, namely Biology Education, Physics Education, Early Childhood Education Teacher Education (PG PAUD), Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD), and Teacher Professional Education (PPG). Deasy Arisanty said that in the future offline or online meetings could be held directly between the PS Coordinators (Korprodi) from both parties as a further step. Cooperation is also open for the possibility of assisting the establishment of new study programs at IAIN Palangkaraya. Dakir, Dean of FTIK IAIN Palangkaraya welcomed the agreement and hoped that the cooperation plan can be implemented for the betterment of his campus. (admin)
