Banjarmasin – The Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) Unit of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) on Tuesday, December 12, 2023 held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) and socialization of the MBKM Teaching Assistance guide with representatives of partner schools, and Study Program Coordinators (PS) in FKIP ULM. This activity was attended by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty; Deputy Dean for General and Financial Affairs, Dharmono; Head of the MBKM Unit, Riya Irianti; Secretary of the MBKM Unit, Hendro Yulius Suryo Putro; a number of representatives of MBKM partner schools including representatives of Central Banjarmasin State Kindergarten, East Banjarmasin State Kindergarten, Idhata 2 Kindergarten, Character Based Nature Preschool, Pelita Hati Preschool, Sungai Miai 7 Banjarmasin State Elementary School, Sungai Miai 11 Banjarmasin State Elementary School, Kebun Bunga 3 Banjarmasin State Elementary School, Pasar Lama 1 Banjarmasin State Elementary School, Sungai Miai 2 Banjarmasin State Elementary School, Kelayan Timur 2 Banjarmasin State Elementary School, Banjarmasin State Junior High School 1, SMP Negeri 6 Banjarmasin, SMP Negeri 7 Banjarmasin, SMP Negeri 16 Banjarmasin, SMP Negeri 21 Banjarmasin, SMP Negeri 24 Banjarmasin, SMP Negeri 26 Banjarmasin, SMP Negeri 30 Banjarmasin, SMA Negeri 1 Banjarmasin, SMA Negeri 2 Banjarmasin, SMA Negeri 5 Banjarmasin, SMA Negeri 7 Banjarmasin, SMA Negeri 11 Banjarmasin, SMA Negeri 13 Banjarmasin, SMK Negeri 2 Banjarmasin, SMK Negeri 4 SLB C Paramita Graha, SLBN Pelambuan, and SLB C Plus Madana Dunya; as well as the PS Coordinator in the FKIP ULM PS environment. This activity was held at Aria Barito Hotel from 09.00-13.00 WITA. The event was opened by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty. The FGD activity was guided by Deasy Arisanty and Hendro Yulius Suryo Putro, while the socialization of the Teaching Assistance MBKM guide was delivered by Riya Irianti and Hendro Yulius Suryo Putro.
In her remarks, Deasy conveyed the importance of this Teaching Assistance MBKM because it is a specialty of FKIP ULM as an LPTK (Educational Personnel Educator Institution). “Given its urgency, this Teaching Assistance is carried out independently so that unlike other MBKM programs funded by the Ministry, the Teaching Assistance MBKM is funded by FKIP ULM PNBP funds. Thus, its implementation and usefulness must run optimally,” he said.
In the FGD, there were a number of things discussed related to the MBKM Assistance implementation plan for 2024, including, in an effort to synchronize school and campus schedules, according to Deasy, Teaching Assistance will be held earlier starting in mid-January 2024. “To ensure that students follow all school activities, students, after receiving the initial counseling, will no longer return to campus, but will focus on being at school alone for 4 months. This is also to prevent students from doing activities outside the school with the excuse of doing campus activities. Unlike the PPL (Field Experience Practice) that students used to carry out at school where students only focus on preparing and practicing teaching, teaching assistance has a wider scope of activities for students at school, including helping with non-learning activities, both extracurricular and other school project activities,” added Deasy.
