Banjar Regency – The Teacher Professional Education (PPG) Study Program (PS) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held an evaluation of the PPG implementation for prospective teachers in 2024 on Friday, January 17. This activity was held at the Sky Convention Center, Banjar Regency, starting at 9:00 a.m. WITA. The event was opened by the Dean of FKIP ULM, Sunarno Basuki, and attended by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty; Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dharmono; Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, Ali Rachman; Head of PS PPG, Hidayah Ansori; Acting Head of General Affairs, Isnawati; Sub-coordinators within the FKIP ULM; the PS PPG management team; as well as the chairperson, secretary, and admin of the PPG study program.
In his opening remarks, Sunarno Basuki expressed his relief that the implementation of the 2024 PPG for Prospective Teachers and PPG for Specific Teachers had gone well. Although he did not yet have a complete and clear picture of the implementation of the 2025 PPG, he hoped that if he was still entrusted with this task, FKIP ULM as an LPTK (Educational Personnel Training Institution) would be able to carry it out as well as before. Meanwhile, Hidayah Ansori also expressed a similar sentiment in her remarks. According to her, the implementation of the 2024 PPG program went well thanks to the excellent cooperation of all parties, from the leadership, PS PPG administrators, PPG study program administrators, supervising teachers, and the students themselves.
The event then continued with a presentation by the Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dharmono, regarding the implementation of elective courses in semester 2, namely Wetland Learning Innovation. According to him, this course can be freely offered by any study program at the PS PPG FKIP ULM because the material is flexible. “Wetland learning in a study program can be adapted to the context of that study program’s orientation. Wetlands can be approached from the perspectives of language, social sciences, and science,” he said.
During the panel discussion session, participants were divided into groups of study program administrators who discussed the preparation of the PPG Prospective Teacher lecture schedule for semester 2, led by Hidayah Ansori. Another group consisted of lecturers teaching elective courses related to strengthening and consolidating the Wetland Learning Innovation course in the PPG LMS (Learning Management System), led by Dharmono.
