Banjarmasin – The Quality Assurance Unit (UPM) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held a training session on Thursday, August 28, on the use of Simari (Lambung Mangkurat University Integrated Information System) OBE (Outcome Based Education) for department administrators within FKIP ULM. The activity was held in the Microteaching PPG Room on the 2nd floor from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. WITA. The event was opened by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty, and attended by members of the UPM FKIP ULM and department administrators consisting of department heads and operators. The speakers for the training included the Head of UPM FKIP ULM, Ananda Setiawan; the Head of the Academic Support Unit (UPA) for Information and Communication Technology FKIP ULM, Irwan Budiman; and a staff member of UPA Information and Communication Technology FKIP ULM, Lukmanul Hakim. Overall, this activity was carried out to provide knowledge and technical skills related to Simari management for department administrators.

This activity was initiated by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty, with the hope that it would become a forum that could provide understanding to department heads and operators regarding the use of Simari OBE. The implementation of Simari OBE itself is a follow-up to a series of activities related to the development of an OBE-based curriculum some time ago. According to the Head of UPM, Ananda Setiawan, all departments in 2025 have reconstructed their OBE-based education curricula, so it is important for department administrators to understand the use of Simari OBE as an educational tool. “During the activity, department heads and administrators actively discussed the use of Simari OBE with the speakers. I hope that after this activity, department administrators will understand the technicalities of curriculum input, assessment plan preparation, and OBE-based assessment so that they can become one of the requirements that can be met to face national and international accreditation in the future,” he said.

Soleka, one of the participants, expressed her enthusiasm for the SIMARI OBE FKIP ULM training. “During the activity, we not only gained theoretical knowledge about the Ssimari information system and the concept of Outcome Based Education (OBE), but also gained a deeper understanding of the steps for its implementation, in which the curriculum document and Semester Learning Plan (RPS) are the main sources for filling in the Simari OBE. In addition, the live practice sessions made the material presented easier to understand and applicable. Participants were able to try out for themselves how to use the features available in SIMARI OBE, thereby improving their technical skills and confidence in operating the system. Overall, this training was highly beneficial as it provided new insights, enhanced practical skills, and served as an important foundation in supporting the implementation of OBE-based curriculum within the FKIP ULM environment, particularly in preparing for and supporting the international accreditation process,” he explained at length and with enthusiasm.
