The Atmosphere of the Meeting

Banjarmasin – The Key Performance Indicators (IKU) Task Force of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held its first meeting of 2026 on Wednesday, February 25. The meeting, held in the FKIP ULM faculty meeting room starting at 9:30 AM WITA, was attended by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty, and other IKU task force members such as Novan Alkaf Bahraini Saputra, Indra Nur Adhitya, Muhammad Sa’addudien Khair, Nevy Farista Aristin, Nahdia Fitri Rahmaniah Dwi Wahyu Candra Dewi, Muhammad Ramadhani, Raden Gilang Kresna Bayu, and Abdi Noor Rahmatillah. The meeting discussed plans for the preparation of the FKIP ULM Performance Report (Lakin) for 2025 as well as preparations for achieving the 2026 IKU targets.

According to Deasy, the 2026 KPI targets are more challenging than those of the previous year. The requirements for Indonesian universities to reach world-class status are clearly reflected in key performance indicators such as the target of having 1% international students and the requirement to publish in Q-1 journals. Meanwhile, other IKU requirements must also still be met. “A number of strategies have been prepared, hopefully to facilitate the achievement of the IKU, including providing incentives for journal publication, implementing international programs such as assigning student ID numbers (NIM) to international students even if their study period is brief—such as short courses or programs like the recent SEA Teacher program that lasted only a month. We are striving to launch these short-course programs. At the ULM level, there are also plans for a fast-track program from S-1 to S-2 to boost interest in further studies while supporting the achievement of IKU 2 regarding graduates entering the workforce or continuing their studies,” added Deasy.
