The atmosphere of the Coordination Meeting between PS PBI and FKIP ULM Leaders Ahead of AL Lamdik Accreditation

Banjarmasin – As the last study program (PS) within the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) to undergo the reaccreditation process through the Independent Education Accreditation Agency (Lamdik), the English Education Study Program (PBI) is scheduled to conduct a Field Assessment (FA) by Lamdik accreditation assessors on May 2-3, 2025. In relation to this, the leadership of FKIP ULM and its staff held a coordination meeting with PS PBI as well as an FA simulation. The meeting was held on Thursday, April 24, in the Senate Meeting Room starting at 9:00 a.m. WITA. The meeting was opened by the Dean of FKIP ULM, Sunarno Basuki, and attended by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty; Head of General Affairs, Isnawati, and the heads of service areas; Head of the Quality Assurance Unit (UPM), Ananda Setiawan, and other unit heads within FKIP ULM; PS PBI Coordinator, Moh. Yamin, as well as all lecturers and educational staff of PS PBI.

In his opening remarks, Sunarno Basuki expressed his hope that PS PBI would receive the accreditation rating that all parties desired. He also emphasized the importance of working together in this process. “AL is a very decisive phase of the accreditation process, so all components involved should contribute as much as possible,” he said. Meanwhile, Deasy Arisanty emphasized the importance of thorough preparation in facing AL. “Preparation starts with the smallest things, considering that details are important because the assessors’ attention may be focused on those things,” she explained. Responding to this, Moh. Yamin said that the PS PBI accreditation preparation team had coordinated and was in the process of refining its preparations.

After a coordination meeting with faculty leaders regarding technical implementation, PS PBI administrators and lecturers conducted a simulation accompanied by the UPM team. According to Ananda Setiawan, the preparations made by UPM were to ensure that all quality documents were well documented so that the AL implementation could run smoothly. Not only preparations at the faculty level, but UPM also ensured that LED (SelfEvaluation Report) documents, DKPS (Quantitative Program Study Data) documents, and supporting evidence were complete and could be used as supporting documents in the implementation of AL. The preparations that have been made are expected to prove that the quality cycle at FKIP ULM has been running very well. “Hopefully, the English Education Study Program can complete the excellent predicate from Lamdik for all Study Programs at FKIP,” he concluded enthusiastically.
