JPPKn FKIP ULM Successfully Held the Inauguration of PD AP3KnI South Kalimantan and National Seminar

The Department of Pancasila and Civic Education (JPPKn) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) successfully held the inauguration ceremony for the Regional Executive Board (PD) of the Indonesian Pancasila and Civic Education Professional Association (AP3KnI) South Kalimantan for the period 2025–2030. The solemn and patriotic event was held in the Khatib Bayan Hall of the Joint Secretariat of the Banjarmasin City Government starting at 9:00 a.m. WITA and was attended by the assistant mayor of Banjarmasin, lecturers, teachers, students, and educational figures who are highly dedicated to strengthening the values of Pancasila and national identity. Through this inauguration, it is hoped that the South Kalimantan AP3KnI Regional Board for the 2025–2030 period will be able to become the forefront in strengthening national values, responding to the challenges of the times, and contributing significantly to the intellectual development of the nation through quality Pancasila and Citizenship education.

The inauguration ceremony was led by Sapriya, Chair of the AP3KnI Central Executive Board and Professor at the Indonesia University of Education (UPI). In his inauguration speech, he congratulated the newly appointed board members and wished them success. He also emphasized the importance of synergy and collaboration in building this professional organization as a strategic forum for advancing the nation and state, particularly in our profession as lecturers and teachers of Civics Education.

Meanwhile, the newly appointed Chair of the South Kalimantan AP3KnI Regional Board, Mariatul Kiptiah, expressed her emotion and strong determination to carry out this mandate in her speech. “This mandate is very heavy, but I am confident that if we unite to build and run this organization together, we can definitely do it. Moreover, the current board members are the best lecturers and PPKn teachers in South Kalimantan. Together, we will make this organization a driving force for change in Pancasila and Civic Education,” she said.

In addition to the inauguration ceremony, this event was also coupled with a National Seminar that raised current and relevant themes in the digital era. The seminar featured two speakers, Sapriya and Zainul Ahyar, who discussed the theme “Meaningful Learning, Local Wisdom, and Pancasila: Weaving National Identity in the Digital Age.” The material presented opened new insights and inspired educators to continue innovating in contextual and transformative civic education learning.
