This event was held on Wednesday, January 15, at the Lecturer Theater General Building ULM starting at 08.00 WITA. The event was opened by the Dean of FKIP ULM, Sunarno Basuki, and attended by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty, who also led the teacher professional oath; Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dharmono; Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, Ali Rachman; Coordinator of the PPG Program, Hidayah Ansori; the Coordinators of the PPG Study Fields; Acting Head of the General Affairs Department, Isnawati; Heads of Sub-Departments at FKIP ULM; and the administrators of the PPG Program.
In his opening remarks, Dean Sunarno Basuki congratulated the 566 PPG students who had completed two semesters of study at PS PPG. According to him, this was a necessary process because there is no such thing as instant education. There are stages that must be passed. “The concept of a professional teacher is a reformist teacher, which is not only practiced at PPG but also in various other training programs so that we can continue to develop,” he said. He also expressed his gratitude to all those who helped organize this event, from the study program administrators and lecturers to the technical assistants, both in terms of facilities and infrastructure as well as information technology.
Meanwhile, the Chair of PS PPG, Hidayah Ansori, also delivered a number of messages to the PPG graduation participants. In her speech, Hidayah focused on reminding alumni to strengthen their social ethics at school through behavior that implements the Social Emotional Education course and to always improve their competence. “The academic achievements of the PPG program for this graduation are very satisfying, with a graduation rate of 96%, G2 2023: 98.7%, and G1 2024: 94.0%. Career prospects are also quite promising, as they can immediately apply for ASN PPPK positions with special quotas, competing only with other PPG graduates,” she explained.
Regarding the teacher’s professional oath, according to Hidayah, this is an important moment in the journey of an educator to strengthen their commitment to the noble task of teaching and guiding the nation’s future generations. “This oath-taking ceremony is held for teachers as a form of their dedication to the teaching profession, society, and the nation,” she added.
