The event was held at the Hasan Bondan Hall of FKIP ULM on Tuesday, September 23, starting at 9:00 AM WITA. The event was opened by the Dean of FKIP ULM, Sunarno Basuki, and attended by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty; Chair of the FKIP ULM Alumni Family (Ikoma), Syamsuri Yusup; Head of General Affairs, Isnawati; Head of the Quality Assurance Unit (UPM), Ananda Setiawan; Head of the Cooperation and Public Relations Management Unit (UPKH), Emma Rosana Febriyanti; Head of the Independent Learning Campus Unit (MBKM), Raisa Fadilla; Coordinator of the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) Study Program, Hidayah Ansori; Department Chairs or their representatives within FKIP ULM; Head of Services at FKIP ULM; as well as invited guests from outside FKIP ULM.

In his opening remarks, Sunarno Basuki expressed his appreciation for the organization of this event. According to him, the vision and mission are guidelines for what FKIP ULM should do now and in the future. As part of the realization of its vision, after all departments have excelled in national accreditation, FKIP ULM is also preparing for international accreditation in order to increase its global competitiveness.

After the opening, Deasy Arisanty, accompanied by Ananda Setiawan, presented the VMTS. According to Deasy, the immediate goal of the VMTS is for the department to align its vision with that of FKIP and ULM, as the three must be synchronized to form a collective view of what will be done in the future. “The realization of the VMTS is actually already underway. Some things have already been implemented, and some things are also being prepared for implementation. International accreditation, or certification of lecturers and students through a certification agency, are some of the things that can be mentioned in our efforts to implement our vision,” she said.

On the other hand, Ananda Setiawan said that the VMTS that was formulated was relevant to the challenges faced by LPTK because it emphasized the excellence of science and technology, local wisdom, entrepreneurship, and global competitiveness. The identity of the wetland environment is a distinguishing feature and a strength in the development of education and research. The vision was also developed with future needs in mind, particularly in the world of education. “The vision has also been developed based on the needs of the business and industrial world (DUDI), so based on this input, the vision implicitly accommodates the needs of DUDI. The hope is that collaboration with DUDI will also become a strategy to absorb FKIP graduates as skilled workers in DUDI,” he explained. (Admin)
