Banjarmasin – The Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Unit of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held a meeting to monitor and evaluate (monev) the implementation of the Teaching Assistance (AM) program for students in schools. The event was held at the Hasan Bondan Hall on Monday, October 27, starting at 9:00 AM WITA. The event was opened by the Dean of FKIP ULM, Sunarno Basuki, and attended by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty; Head of the MBKM Unit, Raisa Fadilla; Head of the FKIP ULM Cooperation and Public Relations Management Unit (UPKH), Emma Rosana Febriyanti; Head of the Quality Assurance Unit, Ananda Setiawan; heads of services and department chairs within FKIP ULM, as well as representatives from partner schools.
In his opening remarks, Sunarno Basuki reiterated the importance of implementing AM as an academic program characteristic of LPTK (Teacher Training Institutions). “Teaching Assistance is one of the largest implementations of FKIP ULM’s cooperation and is expected to continue. Therefore, it is important to evaluate its implementation,” he said.
After the opening ceremony, Deasy Arisanty then led a discussion and Q&A session on the implementation of AM, while also explaining a number of obstacles, barriers, and challenges in implementing AM in the field. According to the Head of the MBKM Unit, Raisa Fadilla, important points from the discussion during this monitoring and evaluation included the need for an even distribution of AM students across schools, as well as the need to ensure that schools have a common understanding of the implementation of AM. “Improvements to the system, particularly in the collection of data for analyzing needs in schools, also need to be enhanced,” she said.
