The RTM for 2025 was held on Wednesday, October 29, at the Hasan Bondan Hall starting at 9:00 AM WITA. In his opening remarks, Sunarno Basuki expressed his hope that this RTM would reveal a number of obstacles and achievements of the department so that improvements could be made. He hoped that aspects that needed to be improved could be continuously improved by the department, while at the same time, improvements must also continue to be made. Meanwhile, in his presentation, UPM Chair Ananda Setiawan said that this year’s AMI (Internal Quality Audit) results were better than last year’s AMI. “Only a few departments have not achieved maximum results in the fields of research and community service. It should be noted that all educational fields in 21 undergraduate programs and 1 PPG managed to score above 80, with the Department of Economic Education even scoring 97.18. This was certainly possible because the understanding of quality control in this field has improved from before and is also inseparable from the hard work of all department administrators,” he explained.

This meeting scheduled presentations by representatives from five academic disciplines who presented the results of the Internal Quality Audit (AMI) that they had conducted together with AMI assessors from the ULM Quality Assurance and Learning Development Institute (LPMPP). They are the Indonesian Language and Literature Education Department (JPBSI) representing the language and arts field, the Natural Sciences Education Department (JPIPA) representing the mathematics and science field, the History Education Department representing the social sciences field, and the Guidance and Counseling Department (JBK) representing the education field. After presenting the AMI results, the department chair or representative then presented the Follow-up Plan (RTL) from the findings regarding aspects that needed improvement in the three pillars (education, research, and community service) that were audited in the AMI. The department also presented a follow-up plan on the points in the Lamdik 2.0 accreditation instrument regarding what the department will do to meet the assessment standards. After the presentation, a discussion and question-and-answer session was held, which was then responded to by the leadership.

According to the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty, regarding the obstacles and barriers faced by the department, the faculty will develop programs for strengthening, such as patent or prototype guidance. “We will also prepare training to consolidate the Outcome Based Education (OBE) curriculum,” she said. In line with this, according to Ananda, another aspect besides education that needs to be improved is research and community service. Specifically, research and community service funding from abroad. Based on the results of the RTM, it is hoped that departments within the FKIP can collaborate with each other to conduct joint research and community service, of course with funding from abroad.

“UPM, as the unit responsible for monitoring quality assurance in each department, will implement a number of breakthroughs in 2026 to ensure that departments carry out the PPEPP cycle efficiently and with documented evidence. UPM is currently designing e-SPMI so that departments can carry out the PPEPP cycle using technology. It is hoped that these innovations in quality assurance will contribute to an even better quality culture,” he added enthusiastically. (admin)
