Banjarmasin – Students from the Sociology Education Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held a Mini Expo on Monday, June 8, at the Tumpang 5 Field at FKIP ULM. This event served as a platform for students to showcase various innovative works they had developed during their coursework. The event was officially opened by the Head of the Sociology Education Department, Rochgiyanti. In her remarks, she expressed appreciation for the students’ creativity and emphasized the importance of this event as a means of developing academic competencies and practical field experience.
The Mini Expo featured a number of exhibition booths showcasing a variety of student projects, ranging from educational materials and sociology-based creative products to simple research projects related to social issues in the community. Each booth was designed to be engaging and interactive, successfully capturing the attention of the visitors.
This event was also organized in collaboration with Radio Nirwana FM and supported by Kopi Kapal Api. As part of the event series, the organizing committee distributed 1,000 free cups of coffee to visitors. The program was enthusiastically received by the students and academic community in attendance, serving as an added attraction to liven up the event.
Through this event, students are expected to enhance their critical thinking skills, creativity, and public speaking abilities. In addition, the Mini Expo serves as a means to foster a sense of community and strengthen the academic presence of the Sociology Education Program at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of ULM within the campus community.
