Banjarmasin — The Department of Computer Education at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) is once again hosting the National Seminar on Computer Education (Sendikom) for 2026. The seminar, themed “Transforming Learning Through AI and Robotics,” was held in a hybrid format at the Hasan Bondan Hall, FKIP ULM, and via the Zoom virtual conference room on Tuesday, June 23, starting at 8:00 a.m. WITA. The event was opened by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty, and attended by the Chair of the Department of Computer Education at FKIP ULM, Harja Santana Purba; Ati Sumawati, Secretary of the Department of Computer Education at FKIP ULM; as well as all faculty members and students of the Department of Computer Education at FKIP ULM; undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students at ULM; teachers; and the general public.
In her opening remarks, Deasy welcomed the event with appreciation and acknowledged the importance of discussing artificial intelligence in today’s digital age. In line with this, Harja, Head of the Computer Education Department at FKIP ULM and a featured speaker, expressed his hopes regarding the event. He hopes that Sendikom 2026 will serve as a space for sharing knowledge, strengthening collaboration, and fostering the development of adaptive learning innovations that keep pace with technological advancements in the digital age.
Invited as a guest speaker for this seminar, Onno Widodo Purbo, a faculty member at the South Tangerang Institute of Technology, participated online via Zoom. He discussed the use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and robotics technology in education, as well as their role as platforms for academic publication and networking. (Admin)
