On Thursday (June 25), the Elementary Education Department (PGSD) at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of ULM held a National Education Seminar focused on the future of elementary education. This annual seminar in 2026 carried a theme highly relevant to the challenges of our time: “Transforming Basic Education to Foster a Generation of Excellence and Character.” Professor Suriansyah, a distinguished professor in the Department of Primary School Teacher Education (JPGSD) at FKIP ULM, was invited as a keynote speaker. Through this seminar, we are formulating the best strategies to nurture a generation that is not only academically intelligent but also possesses strong character,” he said.
This dynamic event was attended by hundreds of enthusiastic participants, ranging from academics and education practitioners to teachers and students. Through these two major initiatives, JPGSD FKIP ULM hopes to continue stimulating the emergence of new innovations capable of steering elementary education in Indonesia toward a more advanced and adaptive future.
