The Atmosphere of the Discussion

Banjarmasin – In order to gather important feedback, the Integrated Learning Activities Mobilization Unit (MKBT) of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on the Development of the FKIP ULM SEA Teacher Guide on Tuesday, June 30, at the PPG Teaching Center, starting at 9:00 a.m. WITA. The event was officially opened by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs of FKIP ULM, Deasy Arisanty, and was attended by the Head of the MKBT FKIP ULM, Raisa Fadilla; department chairs; and heads of units within FKIP ULM.

In her opening remarks, Deasy expressed her hope that this forum would generate various suggestions and feedback from each department. “The hope is that through this activity, there will be many suggestions and feedback regarding the SEA Teacher guidelines provided by the departments, so that these guidelines can be further refined and used more comprehensively,” she said. Meanwhile, Raisa Fadilla, Chair of the MKBT at FKIP ULM, explained that this event was held as an effort to refine the SEA Teacher program implementation guide so that it becomes a more comprehensive and easily understood guideline for all parties involved within FKIP ULM.

The discussion was lively and constructive. Several department chairs offered various suggestions regarding the draft guidelines that had been prepared. Some key recommendations that emerged included the need to refine the narrative in the funding section to avoid misperceptions among both program participants and implementers. Additionally, participants suggested that the implementation schemes be explained in greater detail, particularly regarding the requirements for each program scheme. All feedback gathered during the FGD will be used to refine the ULM FKIP SEA Teacher guidelines so that they can serve as a clearer, more systematic, and more practical reference in supporting the implementation of the SEA Teacher program within the ULM FKIP.
