Banjarmasin – The leadership of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) has once again accepted four students from the SEA Teacher Exchange Student international student exchange program for the 11th batch in 2025. These students are from two universities in the Philippines: Mariana Marcos University and the University of the Immaculate Conception (UIC). The group was welcomed by the Dean of FKIP ULM, Sunarno Basuki; Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty; Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, Ali Rachman; Head of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Unit, Raisa Fadilla; Head of the Cooperation and Public Relations Management Unit (UPKH), Emma Rosana Febriyanti; Head of the Quality Assurance Unit (UPM), Ananda Setiawan; heads of service divisions, department heads, and students within the FKIP ULM in a ceremonial welcome event held at the Hasan Bondan Hall on Friday, October 24, starting at 9:00 AM WITA.
In his opening remarks, Sunarno Basuki warmly welcomed the students and accompanying lecturers. According to him, for approximately one month, the students will get acquainted with and adapt to the culture of the Banjar people. He hopes that the adaptation will go well and add to their valuable experiences.

The plan is for Filipino students in the SEA Teacher program to conduct teaching practicums at two schools in South Kalimantan for one month. Maynard A. Agraan and Matt Andrew J. Ancheta from Mariana Marcos State University will be placed at SMAN Banua, while IC Jasmin Monica M. Gaco and Praisey Ella G. Gabion from UIC will be placed at SMA GIBS, Global Islamic Boarding School. The students will be accompanied by Almera Mar A. Arabit, a UIC lecturer who has also been asked to be a guest lecturer at a public lecture on the theme of Dance Sport in the Philippines. After the welcoming ceremony at FKIP ULM, the group of students will then be taken directly to the schools where they will conduct their practicum by the MBKM team led by Raisa Fadilla.
