Students from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) have once again achieved a remarkable feat. According to the official announcement dated March 4, 2026, No. 167/UN8.DT.01.00/2026, regarding the results of the ONMIPA-PT selection (2026 ULM-Level National Mathematics and Natural Sciences Olympiad (ON-MIPA)), Dini Rizqi Fauziah, a student in the Biology Education Department of FKIP ULM, won first place in the Biology category and will advance to the next selection stage at the regional level. In addition to Dini, another representative from FKIP ULM, Mutia Rahmah, a student in the Department of Chemistry Education at FKIP ULM, placed 4th in the chemistry category. The selection event was held on Thursday, February 26, at the General Building Lecture Theater at ULM and was attended by students from various faculties and fields of natural sciences within the ULM community.
The National Mathematics and Natural Sciences Olympiad (ON-MIPA) is one of the most prestigious academic competitions at the national level, bringing together the top students from universities across Indonesia in the fields of mathematics, biology, physics, and chemistry. This competition serves as a platform to assess students’ depth of conceptual understanding, analytical skills, and critical thinking abilities.
One of the winners, Dini Rizqi Fauziah, described the various preparations she undertook before the competition. Accompanied by her academic advisor, Riya Irianti, Dini engaged in intensive preparation, ranging from reviewing fundamental concepts and delving deeper into material relevant to the competition’s scope to working through practice problems that required precision and analytical skills. The learning process also involved academic discussions to cultivate a more systematic and comprehensive way of thinking. Riya also assisted with reinforcing the material, developing a study guide aligned with the ON-MIPA competition standards, supervising practice exercises, and facilitating scientific discussions to enhance academic readiness.

In response to this achievement, Dini expressed her gratitude and pride in the results achieved. She noted that this accomplishment serves as motivation to continue learning and to better prepare herself for the next stage of the selection process. “I am very grateful and proud of the opportunity and the results achieved in this university-level selection. Of course, this achievement would not have been possible without the support of the university, the faculty, the department, and the guidance of my academic advisor, as well as the academic environment that was very helpful during the preparation process. Moving forward, I will strive to prepare myself as thoroughly as possible for the regional-level selection and hope to deliver the best results for my department, faculty, and Lambung Mangkurat University,” she said enthusiastically.
Congratulations to the winners! May you continue to achieve great things and serve as an inspiration to others. (Admin)
