Banjarmasin – Monday, March 9, the election committee for the University of Lambung Mangkurat (ULM) Senate, representing the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), held a preparatory meeting for the election. The meeting began at 1:00 PM WITA in the Utility Building Meeting Room. It was chaired by the Dean of FKIP ULM, Sunarno Basuki, and attended by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty; the Vice Dean for Finance and General Affairs, Dharmono; the Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni, Ali Rachman; the Head of the General Affairs Division, Isnawati; the Head of the Personnel Division, Ida Auliani; the Head of the Finance Division, Indra Nur Adhitya; the Head of the General Affairs and State Assets Division, Dedy Rizani; the Chair of the Election Committee, Muhammad Sa’addudien Khair; as well as other members of the election committee.
The meeting discussed the selection of Senate candidates from the full professor and lecturer categories who will participate in the direct election process. Based on the meeting’s results, 6 individuals from the full professor category and 6 from the lecturer category will participate in the election. The full professors nominated as ULM Senate candidates from the Faculty of Education (FKIP) are Rusma Noortyani, Atiek Winarti, Arif Sholahuddin, Sutarto Hadi, Syaharuddin, and Dwi Atmono. Meanwhile, the lecturers who are candidates for the ULM Senate from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) representing the lecturer category are Mustika Wati, Mutiani, Rusmansayah, Sumasno Hadi, Andi Ichsan Mahardika, and Moh. Yamin.
According to the Chair of the Election Committee, Khair, the election will be held on Wednesday, March 11, in the Hasan Bondan Hall from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. WITA. He hopes that all faculty members eligible to vote will participate. His team has also prepared a real-time vote-counting procedure for observers to monitor starting when the election begins at 9:00 AM WITA. “We have invited 12 observers to monitor the election results. They will be stationed in the MKBT room near Hasan Bondan to directly view the tabulation of election results,” he said.
One of the candidates for the faculty representative seat on the Senate, Sumasno Hadi, expressed his enthusiasm for participating in this election. “I hope to help champion the advancement of the Faculty of Education and Teacher Training (FKIP) at ULM so that university-level policies can better accommodate the interests of FKIP. “FKIP is the largest faculty with the highest number of students and faculty members; given that size, the policies adopted by the university should also pay greater attention to FKIP,” he explained.
