Faculty Representatives from the ULM Faculty of Education Are Ready to Contribute to the ULM Senate

Election Atmosphere

Banjarmasin – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held an election on Wednesday, March 11, to select faculty members to serve as FKIP representatives on the ULM Senate. The candidates were divided into two categories: three representatives from the full professor category and two representatives from the non-full professor category. A total of 12 candidates for ULM Senate membership from FKIP participated in this election, 6 in the full professor category and 6 in the non-full professor category. They are Rusma Noortyani, Atiek Winarti, Sutarto Hadi, Arif Sholahuddin, Dwi Atmono, and Syaharuddin as Senate candidates representing full professors from FKIP, and Mustika Wati, Mutiani, Rusmansyah, Andi Ichsan Mahardika, Sumasno Hadi, and Moh. Yamin as Senate candidates representing non-full professors.

The Atmosphere During Vote Counting

The election was held in the Hasan Bondan Hall from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. WITA. Of the 348 civil servant lecturers at FKIP ULM, 216 exercised their right to vote. The election process utilized a digital voting system, allowing election results to be monitored by witnesses in real-time throughout the process. The elected professors representing FKIP in the ULM Senate are Rusma Noortyani (59 votes), Sutarto Hadi (43 votes), and Atiek Winarti (40 votes). Meanwhile, the non-full professors representing FKIP in the ULM Senate are Andi Ichsan Mahardika (61 votes) and Rusmansyah (48 votes). Those serving as witnesses in the election process included Jumadi, Syaripudin Bahar, Sauqina, Iriani Bakti, Syaifullah, Kamaliyah, Muhammad Ridha Ilhami, Sri Hartini, Novan Alkaf Bahraini Saputra, Rizky Pamuji, Muhammad Budi Zakia Sani, and Afifah.

Regarding these results, Rusma Noortyani, who received the most votes in the Full Professor category, responded with enthusiasm. She expressed her gratitude for the support from various parties and hopes to continue receiving support as she carries out her duties. “I give thanks to God and deeply appreciate the trust placed in me to represent the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) in the ULM Senate. This trust serves as a strong motivation for me to fulfill my duties as a member of the ULM Senate to the best of my ability. No one wins alone; we all move forward together to achieve success. Please pray that I may effectively advocate for the aspirations of the Faculty of Education at the ULM level,” she said.

In line with this, Andi Ichsan, who received the most votes in the faculty member category, also expressed his gratitude. “I would like to thank my colleagues for their trust in me regarding this new responsibility. I must, of course, fulfill this responsibility in accordance with my core duties and functions. I hope to effectively bridge the aspirations of the FKIP community at the university level,” he said.
