Through this training, FKIP ULM reaffirms its commitment to building a technological foundation that is transparent, efficient, and ready to face the challenges of future global education.

The event featured an expert speaker from Amikom University Yogyakarta, Puguh Hasta Gunawan. Under the theme “Empowering Education Through IT Innovation & Governance,” the training emphasized that digital transformation must be supported by well-thought-out policies and robust technical standards. During this session, Puguh explored two key topics that serve as a crucial foundation for IT advancement in higher education: (1) Strategic Governance and AI Policy: Focusing on IT asset management, risk mitigation, and its connection to institutional accreditation. This topic also addressed current issues regarding the ethical use of AI, compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDP), and maintaining academic integrity amidst the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technology; and (2) Application & Network Governance: An in-depth discussion of best practices in system management, covering coding standards (clean code), structured documentation, regular maintenance, and campus network security strategies to ensure stable and secure services.
Nuruddin Wiranda, Head of the ICT Unit at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of ULM, expressed his deep gratitude for the full support of the faculty leadership. “We greatly appreciate the moral and policy support from the Dean, Dr. Sunarno Basuki, Drs., M.Kes., AIFO, as well as the Heads of Units. This synergy is very meaningful for us on the technical team in realizing better digital services,” he said. He also hopes this initiative marks the beginning of a shift in the IT work culture within the faculty. “Our hope is that the knowledge gained today can be immediately implemented, particularly regarding documentation standardization and data security enhancement, so that the ICT Unit at FKIP ULM can provide maximum support for academic needs and student services,” he added.
