Banjarmasin – The Department of Indonesian Language and Literature Education (JPBSI) at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) held a training session on strengthening students’ entrepreneurial competencies under the theme “Creativpreuner PBSI: Developing Businesses Based on Indonesian Language and Literature” on Monday, May 25, at the Student Activity Center (SAC) in the ULM General Building. The training was opened by the Head of JPBSI, Noor Cahaya, and attended by lecturers and students of JPBSI FKIP ULM from the 2024–2025 cohort.
In her opening remarks, Noor Cahaya stated that this event is part of an effort to broaden students’ horizons. According to her, proficiency in language and literature is not limited to the educational and academic spheres, but also offers significant opportunities to be developed into creative, innovative, and economically valuable ventures. Creativity in language and communication skills are considered essential assets for building a business in today’s era.
This training featured Lita Luthfiyanti as a guest speaker; she is a lecturer in the Department of Indonesian Language and Literature (JPBSI) at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of ULM, as well as a promising SME (Small and Medium Enterprise) entrepreneur in Banjarmasin. In her presentation, she explained various opportunities rooted in local insights and creative skills to help students enhance their entrepreneurial abilities, including developing the knowledge and skills needed to build creative businesses centered on the field of Indonesian language and literature. Through this training, students learn to develop businesses by leveraging their personal creativity, local potential, and the skills they have acquired in the classroom. (Admin)
