FKIP Students Triumph in 5 Categories at the ULM-Level MTQ Competition

Banjarmasin — The 2026 Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) Musabaqah Tilawatil Quran (MTQ) competition was held on Friday and Saturday, June 19–20, at the Graduate School Building. A number of categories were contested in this competition, and 12 students from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) won first place in 5 of the categories.

In the Syahril Quran competition category, the first-place winners were Syifa Uswatunnisa and Rizma from the Department of Indonesian Language and Literature Education (JPBSI) and Najhil Istiqamah from the Department of Elementary School Teacher Education (JPGSD); Nida Mawaddah from JPGSD, who teamed up with a student from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK), as the Second Place winner; as well as Rismanita, Maulida Saputri, and Alifia Nur Azkia from the Department of Biology Education as the First Runner-Up; and Nur Rabiatul Jannah from the Department of Science Education (JPIPA), who teamed up with a student from the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences (FKIK), as the Second Runner-Up.

In the Scientific Writing on the Content of the Quran (KTIQ) competition category, Ahmad Rifai and Muhammad Ramadhan from JPBSI won second place. Meanwhile, in the Tilawah competition category, for the Women’s Tilawah division, Farah Nayla Zahra from the Department of Performing Arts Education (JPSP) won first place, and in the men’s recitation category, Ahmad Kusairi from JPGSD won second place and Muhammad Zaky Rachman from the Department of Physical Education won third place.

In the Hifdzil 5 Juz competition category, for the Boys’ Hifdzil 5 Juz event, Muhammad Lukman Nul Zeisan from the Department of Physics Education won 2nd Place, and Ahmad Fauzan from the Department of Physics Education won 1st Runner-Up. Meanwhile, in the Girls’ Hifdzil 5 Juz competition, Ghina Nurkhalisah Yusuf from the English Education Department won 1st Runner-Up. In the Girls’ Tartil competition, Siti Hafizah from JPBSI won 2nd Place.

According to Noor Ainah, the coach of the ULM FKIP MTQ team, she and the Associate Dean for Student Affairs and Alumni have thoroughly prepared the students who will be competing. “Alhamdulillah, they’ve achieved great results. The top five winners will participate in university-level training. They will undergo another selection process; whoever shows the most progress will represent ULM in the Kalimantan regional MTQ selection,” she said. (Admin)
