The departing team was divided into two groups that will visit two separate campuses. The first group consists of the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Deasy Arisanty; the Head of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) Unit, Raisa Fadilla; and the Head of the Quality Assurance Unit (UPM), Ananda Setiawan, who accompanied students who will undergo the program at the University of Immaculate Conception (UIC) in Davao, namely Muning, a student majoring in English Education; Raihana Zakira, a student majoring in Indonesian Language and Literature Education; Muhammad Ade Wardheni, a student majoring in Economics Education; Muhammad Barto Maulana Irsyad Baso, a student majoring in Sociology Education.
Meanwhile, another group, consisting of the Head of the Cooperation and Public Relations Management Unit (UPKH), Emma Rosana Febriyanti, and MBKM Unit staff member Arum Murdianingsih, accompanied students who will be participating in the program at Iloilo University of Science and Technology (ISAT-U) in the city of Iloilo, including Indri Naila Soraya, a student majoring in Performing Arts Education; Elia Emanuela, a student majoring in Social Studies Education; Ahmad Faishal, a student majoring in Pancasila and Civic Education; Kiki Amelia Putri, a student majoring in Geography Education; and Rudy Mahmudi, a student majoring in History Education.

In Davao City, the group led by Deasy Arisanty was welcomed by Rene M. Babiera II, an official from the UIC International Office. The delegation also had the opportunity to visit the Indonesian School in Davao (SID), accompanied by a member of the Consulate General of the Indonesian Embassy in Davao, Umi Yanti Febriana Silalahi. The plan is for one student from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at ULM to be assigned to teach Indonesian to SID students. According to Deasy, the students at SID are of Indonesian descent living in the Philippines. “Most of them live in poverty and do not have legal Filipino citizenship. The Consulate General in Davao warmly welcomed our visit and hopes that more students will be able to participate in the SEA Teacher program at UIC so that they can also help at SID,” she said.
Meanwhile, at ISAT-U, in addition to officially welcoming the SEA Teacher student team, Emma Rosana Febriyanti was also asked to give a public lecture on cross-cultural English language learning. She delivered a lecture titled The Power of Words: Empowering Learners and Sharing Culture through Language. Previously, the group was welcomed by the Vice President of ISAT-U, Corazon C. Corbal, who gave them a warm welcome.
Deasy hopes that the SEA Teacher program can continue to be implemented, given the significant benefits it can bring to FKIP ULM. “In addition to being one of the parameters of campus internationalization, this program can also add to the experience of students and strengthen cooperation between campuses. Hopefully, in the future, the cooperation can be expanded to include joint research and other activities,” she said. (Admin)
